Vault does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data — ever. Your passwords stay on your device. That's the whole point.

Vault does not collect:
All data you enter into Vault is stored locally on your device only, using your device's encrypted storage. Your data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being written to disk.
Your data never leaves your device. Vault has no internet connection and communicates with no external servers — not ours, not anyone's.
Vault uses no third-party SDKs, services, or frameworks that collect data. There are no analytics libraries, no advertising networks, no crash-reporting tools that phone home, and no cloud services of any kind embedded in the app.
Vault does not use iCloud, Google Drive, or any cloud storage service. Vault itself initiates no cloud uploads, on either platform.
Android: Vault explicitly disables Android's automatic cloud backup for
its own app data (allowBackup="false"), so nothing is ever included in a
Google device backup.
iOS: If your device's system-level iCloud backup includes app data,
that is controlled entirely by your iOS/iPadOS settings. To exclude Vault from iCloud
backup, go to:
Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Backups → [Your Device]
and toggle off Vault.
If you delete Vault from your device, all data stored by the app is permanently deleted along with it. There is no backup on any server, because there is no server.
Vault does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is not directed at children.
If we ever make material changes to this privacy policy — for example, if a future version of the app introduces optional cloud backup — we will update this document and change the "Last updated" date at the top. We will not introduce data collection silently.
